| How much do you charge for shipping ? |
I return completed engines by United States Postal Service Priority Mail with insurance of $125.00 on each engine. I charge $6.00 for the first engine in the order, then $3.00 for each additional engine in the same order. This is for anywhere in the continental United States.

Do your installations include lights ?
|
Yes in most cases the original lighting features of the locomotive will be retained with DCC control using function F0 for front and rear lights. The original lights are used if possible. There is no extra charge for standard lighting features. Special lighting features are available on some models at an additional charge.

| Do you sell DCC decoders or systems ? |
I am not a dealer and do not carry any DCC stock. As part of the installation job I will be happy to buy the decoders for you and pass them along at my cost. Or, you can purchase the decoders yourself and send them with your engines.
|
| I've attempted installation but can't get it to work, can you help ? |
I am happy to take a failed installation. I will evaluate it and complete the installation if possible. If the engine is apart, ship it with all of the small parts in a small plastic bag. Put the motor in a separate plastic bag by itself. Put the shell in the original box if you have it.

| I've got too many engines to put decoders in them all, should I still get into DCC ? |
Of course you should. Study what type of operating you do: Home layout, club, round-robin, etc. Develop a strategy that will allow you to have sets of engines to meet each of your needs. I don't have decoders in all of my own engines. When I take my trains to run on an Ntrak layout I normally take DC engines as well as DCC engines so I can be flexible.
|
| What is the turn around time to get my engines done ? |
This varies greatly depending on how busy I am, or if I'm going out of town, etc. If I don't have any other jobs ahead of yours, it normally takes 1 to 2 weeks from the time I get your engine to the time I ship them back to you.
