| I've acculmated several Atlas SD7's over the years and modified them to some of those that SP had "leased" to it's NWP line for long periods of time in the 1950's and 60's. The layout is designed to operate best with DCC and most of the SD7's have had decoders installed. With DCC I can operate as many as 3 locomotives on this small layout at one time. | |

SD7 number 5317 is an Atlas model that has been re-numbered, the hand rails painted, and Pyle light added to both ends, This engine has a DCC decoder installed. |

Number 5309 is an example of how most of the Southern Pacific's SD7's were configured. There was no steam generator and no water tank, leaving a distinctive gap on the bottom of the engine. This engine has no decoder. |

Number 5325 is one of the first engines I installed DCC in. The stock frame was exchanged for an Aztec milled frame and the decoder is a Digitrax DN83. |

No. 5329 is a recent (spring 2004) from Atlas in the tigerstripe paint job that they came with in 1952. The frame is designed to take the Digitrax DN163A0 decoder which I have installed on this one. I also added the Pyle barrel lights front and rear and painted the handrails. |

When Kato came out with the RDC, I got one of the Bud demonstrators and plan to model SP # 10. I've already installed a Digitrax DCC decoder in this model. |

Here's an example of one of the maintenance of way box cars that were kept on the NWP. These were done in N scale in several road numbers by Aztec Manufacturing in the early 90's. |

The NWP had a small fleet of wood box cars set aside for overnight freight service to and from the San Francisco Bay Area. Micro Trains has done several road numbers. |
