| The Pennsylvania Railroad cabin cars (cabooses) were known for their structural strength. That got put to the test on our layout at the Cow Palace in March of 2007. Rob Mantler's train got rear ended by another train on the yellow line just as the three cabooses were passing through the long set of truss bridges on Nick Freschhertz's module. It took a bit of work by the crew to extract the three cabooses from inside the bridge and Travice Whitten got this photo before the wreck was cleared. Most of the shows where we display a layout are in the Bay Area but we have also traveled to out of area train shows and conventions. |
